Bridal Shower Tips and Tricks
Here are some tips that I learned from photographing Bridal Partys for my couples.
Choose your bridesmaid dress
What time of the year are you planning to marry?
It is always a good idea for bridesmaids to remember this when selecting their blue bridesmaid dresses. This could help reduce the sheer number of options.
It is also important to know what flowers will be in season. These colours are most likely to be in bridal bouquets.
CHOOSING YOUR COLOURS PER SEASON
When you think back to the four seasons of a year, what colors are you most likely to think of for your wedding? Reds, golds or emerald greens are what I associate with Winter. In spring, pastel palettes as well as yellows look great. Bright colors like pinks and purples can look amazing in the heat of summer. Finally, Autumn is the season for auburn, oranges and reds as well as dark greens.
It is always a good idea before selecting your bridesmaid dress, to consider the year.
HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT ACCESSORIES.
Because of the changing Irish weather, it can be difficult to keep your bridesmaids comfortable on the wedding day.
I’ve seen many beautiful faux-fur boleros at weddings. Also, chic jackets with cropped sleeves and wraps that can be worn to match the bridesmaid dresses. These extras can and have looked great in final wedding photographs.
DECIDING LENGTH OF DRESS
Think about the time of the year and how the bride will feel at the wedding when deciding on the length. If your wedding is at Christmas, you might want to wear long dresses. While short dresses look better on warm summer days, they can be more appropriate.
THINK MOBILITY!
Remember that it is the bridesmaids job to look after your wedding day. They’ll be there to clean your train and keep your veil perfect.
When picking their bridesmaid dresses it is important to ensure they are comfortable and can move freely in it. They will have to bend down to fix the wedding dress throughout the day.
You will not be able to wear a fabulous, but not very practical, bridesmaids dress on your wedding day. !
DIFFERENT STATES OF SUITING
How can one bridesmaid look good on all of them? It’s generally a very difficult task.
Alternatives include having brides in one colour and having their maids wear dresses from different styles. This allows the bridesmaids to choose the right style for them, which will keep everyone happy.
WHAT ABOUT DISTINCT COLOURS?
While I like the idea that your bridesmaids could wear different colours, it is best to keep them all in the same color palette. So perhaps all of your bridesmaids have chosen to wear purple, but they choose different shades so that you can identify them as your bridesmaids.
I recommend that the bride chooses a theme-related colour. If the theme of the wedding is represented by flowers, invites, or decorations in a particular colour, it’s nice to have the bridesmaids be the same colour.
The most important thing is that all your bridesmaids feel happy and confident in the dresses they wear, and that they enjoy their special role on your big day.
Advice from the experts
Planning your wedding is a time-consuming process. You can choose your own dress, your color palette, and your bridesmaids’ dresses. It’s best if you plan ahead.
According to bridal shops it takes between 2 and 6 months for designer bridesmaids gowns to arrive. This is why it’s important that you factor this into your planning. You should also allow yourself at least a month delivery for your order to allow enough time to make any changes.
Your Bridesmaids Styles & Body Types should be considered
We all are unique and can be found in different shapes and sizes. Not only that, but we all have our own styles. Smart Brides recommends that bridesmaids choose a style that is flattering for all. If you order all of your dresses at once, you have a better chance to get each one with a consistent color and texture.
