Proud Embankment: Review

Situated to the building of Waterloo Bridge, Proud is a very splendid, majestic, lavish in decor, prestigious affair, dimly lit to develop an air of bohemian chic. London’s newest great club is an extremely nice inclusion to the sophistication of London’s glittering West End.

Turning up at a preset period of 7.30pm, a beautiful peach plus fizz cocktail was thrusted into my and also my dining companion’s hands along with the coats of ours and/or hats taken off with the cloakroom, we had been escorted to our raised table overlooking the stage. With Proud, to save some wait, you pre-order the food of yours via the site of theirs that also allows you to detail any allergies. Choosing the mushroom arancini and small cocktail sausages served in martini glasses, nice touch as the appetisers of ours; subsequently the tiger prawns & ribs as starters, miso salmon as well as the rib eye steak as mains and lastly the lemon apple and posset cake as the desserts of ours, that proved to be a healthy meal. Here, the organisers at Proud are receiving it correctly, pacing the delivery of every course in about fifteen to twenty minute gaps, enabling the home of theirs to deal with feeding 400 individuals.

With a considerable wine and cocktail list it was simple to choose what libation to clean the meals down with – choosing the Lady in Red Cocktail as well as the Very English Tea that arrived in a teapot and also to my guest’s surprise was served hot; and also a container of bubbles along with a fab glass of Rioja to complement the steak of mine.

After the mains had been completed, the home lights dimmed as well as the cabaret component of the evening began. Exotic, erotic and with Joe Morose, the dandy prince of cabaret acting as the compère, the flow of the entertainment was seamless complete with fire-eaters, acrobats and general naughtiness, with Didi Derriere being a true highlight as she performed her jazzy twist to a classic burlesque routine.

It’s great that at Proud Embankment they need individuals to have a great time, and also with very attentive staff I’d need to agree. In this really competitive arena of fine dining and also cabaret, venues have to provide something a bit of bit unique and at Proud Club London they’re achieving this with the present mantra of theirs being’ New dawn, brand new Proud” also I’ll surely chink and also raise a glass to which.
