Office Makeover Ideas

Does it feel like time for a makeover?

If the answers Yes, let us help with some office makeover ideas and how to get started.

Daily use of the office can make the environment worn and tired, and it might need a little sprucing. How the environment feels, and its décor can make a difference to the performance within that space. To say that office design is important, is an understatement.

From the wall colour, furniture to the lay out, all aspects matter and it’s time to get it right. Stay with us and look at the ways you can make positive changes to the office and workplace surrounds.

Re-paint the Office

Repainting an office space or painting a feature wall can give the tired space a new lease of life. A new coat of paint could be all it takes to brighten a space and make it look as good as new.

However, when choosing the right colour for the office space, you will need to consider the size of the room. Opting for a darker colour can make the office feel smaller and more closed in.

Where possible go for a lighter, brighter shade to open the space and make it feel fresh.

Adding or restructuring office screens

If you already have office partitions as part of the office design, have you configured them to maximise your space? Or could they be moved to benefit the office?

Assess the current set up and make the necessary changes to better use the floorspace and to divide the office more effectively.

An open plan office leaves the office space wide open, but with taking the partitioned route the entire office can be restructured without making permanent changes to the office. Add noise control with acoustic partitions, desktop screens for a focused effect or even look at acrylic screens for a modern, sleek feel.

With numerous finishes, shapes and sizes, the office screen market is saturated with choice.

Comfort is key

The office chair in theory should be comfiest seat you use, as you’re sat in it for a large portion of the day.

When a chair gets old the cushion becomes flat and the support across the back can be lacking. Offering the right type of chair can be a bigger deal than we think, as the wrong chair with no support can cause back pain and make for uncomfortable working.

Invest in office chairs which have strong back support and can be adjusted to the users need. By upgrading the seating choice, you’ll be putting health first.

Incorporate More Storage

Storage options could mean a cupboard or shelves – or maybe, even both.

Shelves are such a useful accessory to an office, as more space is provided whilst none of the floor spaces is used. However, with the shelving option, the contents will still be visible, so you must remember to keep them tidy and organised.

If there’s more room to play with, a freestanding storage cupboard gives that extra space needed to store items, paperwork and general ‘things’ that don’t need to be out all of time.

Both options can take the clutter from the office and turn it into an organised haven.
