Why use sensor taps and appliances?

There are many types of sensor taps available so that there is something for everyone. Our sensor tap clients include dentists, vets, and doctors. These professionals are concerned with hand hygiene. Sensor taps are also useful in restaurants, hotels, and other hospitality or catering settings, as they offer clear advantages over press and manual taps. Sensor taps have many other benefits than the obvious hygiene improvement. In this blog post, I will discuss some of these. Sensor taps can save significant amounts of water

Our primary goal has been to provide products that conserve water for our clients. We’ve written about this before. Sensor taps usually have an aerator built into the spout. This disperses water, which means less water is required to wash than traditional taps.

Sensor taps have a lower flow rate than traditional basin taps. Traditional taps use approximately 10-15 litres per minute. Our Conti+ taps, on the other hand, offer flow rates up to 2 litres per hour, which is 70% lower than traditional taps. Additionally, our miscea taps consume 60% less water than traditional ones.
Sensor taps use less energy

Customers often worry that switching to sensor taps could increase their energy consumption, as sensor taps require electricity to function. There are other factors that can be considered when determining energy efficiency. Although traditional hand-operated taps do not require electricity to operate, they are very inefficient in other aspects.

It is a waste of energy to choose the preferred temperature and flow for each turn of a traditional tap. Sensor taps, on the other hand, allow you to maintain water at a constant temperature without having to change it. They are also more efficient than traditional hand-operated taps in general.
Sensor taps work cleaner and are more efficient

Sensor taps have a predetermined flow rate, while traditional taps require the user to choose their preferred flow rate each time. This is inefficient as 99% of users will desire the same flow rate. The flow rate can be pre-set to prevent splashing. This helps keep the bathroom cleaner.
Sensor taps are more hygiene-friendly

As we have already mentioned, sensor taps offer hygiene as one of their key advantages. During hand-washing, the user does not have to touch the tap. This ensures that users do not cross-contaminate each other. Products such as the miscea range allow for hands-free dispensing soap and cleaning liquids in a single hand-washing operation.
Customers expect sensor taps in public restrooms.

Customers expect hands-free taps to be installed in a wider range of places, and that they are part of a high-quality washroom environment. It’s a good idea to have clear signage if you are installing wall mount sensor faucet on your premises. This will make it easier for visitors to understand how they work. We find modern hands-free taps to be very intuitive and eliminate many of the errors that can happen with manual taps.
